This program offers the benefits of school and socializing alongside the benefits of homeschooling, combining positive parts of both to create a harmonious whole program that will serve children’s needs.
Program Days
Monday/Wednesday/Friday
Students will attend school in person, ready for the day.
- Monday: Bible, Math, DLI (Daily Language Instruction), Reading, Social Studies/Science
- Wednesday: Bible, Math, Music, DLI, PE, Reading, Social Studies/Science
- Friday (half day, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon): Chapel, Reading Buddies, Spelling/Math Tests, Music/Art
We will do keyboarding as time permits.
Tuesday/Thursday
Students will be at home doing the work provided for them on Monday.

- Thursday: *Bible/Worship, Math, Spelling Sentences, *Reading, Writing, keyboarding
*Parents create their own Bible and reading curriculum. For parents of low-level readers, the teacher will provide reading curriculum.
Events & Field Trips
Homeschool students and parents are welcome to attend all events and field trips, no matter what day they take place. Please inform the school ahead of time whether your child will or will not be able to attend. The school dress code and rules need to be followed during these events and trips.
MAP Testing
We provide MAP testing Monday through Thursday three times a year. Homeschool students will be required to attend Monday through Friday during those weeks since the test is administered nationally at specific times with certain requirements. MAP testing only requires a half day of attendance (8:00 a.m.-12:00 noon) on Tuesday and Thursday.
What Parents Can Expect From the Teacher
- Ensure a safe and caring learning environment where your child can grow spiritually and academically.
- Provide curriculum, books, and materials needed for your child to keep up with peers while they’re learning at home.
- Homework graded and grades provided.
- If needed: One hour after school on Wednesdays to provide additional instruction for struggling students or a needed study hall for students who have two or more assignments missing. This time can also be used for parents having any questions or concerns regarding their child’s work.
- A parent meeting will be set up for students requiring consistent weekly study halls in order to discuss how best to meet the student’s needs.
- Provide a learning tracking sheet to be filled out weekly by the parent.
- Open communication regarding your child’s time at school in a timely manner.
- Two parent-teacher conferences a year to discuss grades, MAP scores, and assessments of your child’s growth. Teacher will also help establish goals or strategies if needed and share ideas and thoughts on your child’s learning.
- Weekly group text sharing pictures, updates from the week, and upcoming events.
- Be a resource for ideas and strategies in teaching subjects you may feel less confident in as well as strategies for keeping your child engaged in the learning process.
- Your cheerleader and encourager as you teach your child at home.
Parent Responsibilities
- Create a quiet learning environment for daily learning at a consistent time each day.
- Provide instruction on the new concepts your child will be learning at home or concepts they need to practice.
- Create your own Bible and reading curriculum. Parents of low-level readers, the teacher will provide reading curriculum.
- Ensure work is turned in on time each week. If work is consistently turned in late, a meeting will be scheduled with the teacher to discuss what will best meet your child’s needs.
- Turn in a weekly tracking sheet indicating time spent on each subject. For the subjects where the teacher doesn’t provide curriculum (Bible and Reading), please provide proof of work.
- Open communication regarding any concerns or questions you may have.
- Attend the two parent-teacher conferences and any meetings scheduled to discuss your child’s progress or needs.
- Ensure your child arrives on time on the days your child is coming to school. Please contact the school before it starts if your child will not be attending that day.
- Stay informed by keeping up to date on the group texts, emails, and school newsletter.
- Schedule all appointments and family outings during the time your child will be at home or on school calendar breaks.
- Bring your child to school on Monday through Thursday during MAP testing week.
